This tutorial assumes you already know what Two-Way Sync is and how to configure it. If not, please review the How Two-Way Sync Works tutorial first.
1. Choose the Product Variants template
From the home page, select the Update Products category in the template filter bar and click Create on the Product Variants template. If you are configuring a spreadsheet from scratch, click New Spreadsheet, select Two-Way Sync as the sync direction, and then choose the Product Variants template.
2. Delete Existing Variants
To delete a variant, keep the Id (Variant) and Id (Product) values but clear Option 1 Value (Variant) for that row. When eCommix sees a variant ID with the option value empty it treats the row as a delete. The following fields are required:
- Id (Product) — The product the variant belongs to.
- Id (Variant) — Must be present. Identifies which variant to delete.
- Option 1 Value (Variant) — Must be cleared (left empty). This is what signals the delete operation.
In the example below, the first three variants of a product are deleted by clearing their Option 1 Value (Variant) cells while leaving the variant IDs in place. After validation, those rows turn light red to confirm they will be deleted on import.
Once ready, go back to eCommix and click Sync to apply the changes. Not sure how? The How Two-Way Sync Works tutorial walks you through it.
If you need to delete the entire product instead, see the Deleting Products from Google Sheets tutorial.
